Job Info Oil India Limited (OIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking invites applications from eligible candidates from
its production and exploration areas in the districts of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar and Charaideo in Assam and
Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh for recruitment of workpersons in the following posts at OIL, Field
Headquarters, Duliajan as per details given hereunder. In addition to above, for applicable post codes, applications
are also invited from eligible Trade Apprentice candidate(s) who have successfully undergone and completed
Apprenticeship Training in the relevant trade in Oil India Limited and passed All India Trade Test for Apprentices
conducted by National Council for Vocational Training. Further, for applicable post codes, applications are also
invited from eligible Diploma Apprentice candidate(s) who have successfully undergone and completed
Apprenticeship Training in the relevant discipline in Oil India Limited and possess Certificate of Proficiency issued
by Board of Practical Training (BOPT), Eastern Region, Kolkata. The following posts will entail working in shifts
involving arduous and hazardous nature of jobs in remote/far-flung OIL installations in the production and
exploration areas of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Interested candidates who meet eligibility criteria can apply.

Qualification

2nd Class Boiler Attendant
  • Passed Class 10 from a Government recognized Board.
  • Must possess valid 2nd Class Boiler Attendant Certificate issued by a Competent Authority
Operator Security Grade – III
  • Passed Class 10 from a Government recognized Board.
  • Must have minimum 03 (three) years post qualification full time work experience not below the rank of Constable in General Duty or equivalent from State Police/ State Armed Forces/ Defence/ CAPF (BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, etc.).
Junior Technical Fireman
  • Passed Class 10+2 from a Government recognized Board/University.
  • 01 (one) year Diploma/ Certificate in Fire & Safety from Government
    recognized Board/University/Institute or Sub Officers Course from NFSC, Nagpur.
  • Must possess valid Professional Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving License (TRANS category Driving License) issued by Competent Authority as per Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 and its amendments & Central Motors Vehicles Rules, 1989 and its amendments
Public Health Inspector
  • Passed Class 10+2 from a Government recognized Board/University
  • Passed Diploma/ Certificate in Sanitary Inspector course or Diploma/ Certificate in Health Inspector course or Diploma/ Certificate in Sanitary Health Inspector course or Diploma/ Certificate in Public Health Sanitization course of minimum 01 (one) year duration from a Government recognized Board/University/Institute.
  • Must have minimum 01 (one) year post qualification full time work experience in a State/ Central Government Organization/ Urban Local Bodies (ULB) such as Municipal Corporation, Municipality, Notified Area Committee, Town Area Committee, Special Purpose Agency, Township,
    Port Trust, Cantonment Board etc./ PSUs/ Private Sector Organization/ Registered Private Firms while handling jobs related to the following:
    (a) municipal solid waste management or,
    (b) vector control/taxonomic studies or,
    (c) managing drainage system
1st Class Boiler Attendant
  • Passed Class 10 from a Government recognized Board.
  • Must possess valid 1st Class Boiler Attendant Certificate issued by a Competent Authority.
Nurse – V
  • Passed B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (PB-B.Sc.) from an Institute recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
  • Must have minimum 02 (two) years post qualification full time work experience in the field of nursing in State/ Central Government Organizations/ PSUs/ Private Sector Organization after obtaining registration from State Nursing Council.
  • Must be registered with the State Nursing Council.
Hindi Translator
  • Passed Bachelor’s Degree with Major/Honours in Hindi from a Government recognized University/Institute. Should have English as one of the subjects in Graduation.
  • Must have Certificate or Diploma in Hindi Translator Course of minimum 01 (one) year duration from a Government recognized Board/University/Institute.
  • Must have 06 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in Computer
    Applications and be conversant with bilingual processing (i.e. Hindi & English Typing).
  • Must have minimum 01 (one) year post qualification full time work experience in Hindi to English translation jobs and vice versa in State/Central Government Organization/ PSUs/ Private Sector Organizations/ Registered Private Firms.
Chemical Engineering  Assistant
  • Passed Class 10 from a Government recognized Board.
  • Passed 03 (three) years Diploma in Chemical Engineering from a Government recognized University/Board/Institute.
Civil Engineering Assistant
  • Passed Class 10 from a Government recognized Board.
  • Passed 03 (three) years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a Government recognized University/Board/Institute.
Computer Engineering Assistant
  • Passed Class 10 from a Government recognized Board.
  • Passed 03 (three) years Diploma in Computer Engineering from a Government recognized University/Board/Institute.
Instrumentation Engineering Assistant
  • Passed Class 10 from a Government recognized Board.
  • Passed 03 (three) years Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Diploma in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering/Technology or Diploma in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a Government recognized University/Board/Institute.
Mechanical Engineering Assistant
  • Passed Class 10 from a Government recognized Board.
  • Passed 03 (three) years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a Government recognized University/Board/Institute.
    Kindly note that apart from Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, other similar Diploma of Mechanical Engineering with any prefix or suffix will not be considered.
Electrical Engineering Assistant
  • Passed Class 10 from a Government recognized Board.
  • Passed 03 (three) years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a Government recognized University/Board/Institute.
  • Must possess a valid Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency [minimum parts 1, 2, 3 & 4] issued by Electrical Licensing Board, Government of Assam.

Selection Process

  • The selection process shall consist of a Computer Based Test (CBT) wherein the qualifying marks for the
    Computer Based Test (CBT) will be 50% for UR/ OBC(NCL)/ EWS posts. For the posts reserved for
    SC/ST/PwBD the qualifying marks for the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be 40%.
  • Candidates will be called for Computer Based Test (CBT) on the basis of their declaration in the online
    application form.
  • The question paper for Computer Based Test (CBT) will consist of 3 (three) sections as detailed hereunder
    viz. (A) General English & General Knowledge/Awareness with some questions on Oil India Limited;
    (B) Reasoning, Arithmetic/Numerical & Mental Ability and (C) Relevant Technical Knowledge on the
    trade/discipline. Accordingly, the Computer Based Test (CBT) will assess the candidates on the following.
  • The Computer Based Test (CBT) will comprise of questions in the multiple-choice questions (MCQ) format.
    For the Post Code SAH12025, the multiple-choice questions (MCQ) will also include questions for testing
    the requisite skills i.e. translation from Hindi to English and vice versa along with proficiency in MS Office
    (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • There will be no negative marking in the Computer Based Test (CBT).
  • The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be bilingual i.e. English & Assamese for all post codes. However, for
    the Post Code SAH12025, the CBT will be bilingual i.e. English & Hindi.
  • The total duration of the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be 02 (two) hours.
  • Compensatory time in addition to the duration of the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be allowed to
    candidates who are Persons with Disabilities, as applicable.
  • In the final merit list for selection, if Computer Based Test (CBT) marks of more than one candidate are
    same, then the candidate who obtains more marks in Part-C of the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be given
    preference. In case, if the marks in Part-C are same, then the candidate who obtains more marks in Part-B
    will be given preference. If the marks in Part-B are also same, then the candidate older in age will be given
    preference in the final merit list.
  • Subject to the candidate fulfilling all the prescribed eligibility criteria as notified, the final selection will be
    made in order of merit, based on the marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT).
  • Candidate(s) will have to possess all the compulsory document(s)/certificate(s)/testimonial(s), as applicable,
    and will have to produce them as required (in original and required copies) for the purpose of uploading in
    the online system/submit at the appropriate stage, as applicable, during the recruitment process. The list of
    essential document(s)/certificate(s)/testimonial(s) for further necessary requirements is given as under.
  • MEDICAL FITNESS/PRE-EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL EXAMINATION (PEME)

  1. Candidate(s) fulfilling all the above clearly laid down criteria will have to apply online only through the
    link on the Oil India Limited website in the OIL for All -> Career at OIL -> Current Openings section i.e.
    https://www.oil-india.com/advertisement-list from 18/07/2025, 02:00 p.m. to 18/08/2025, 11:59 p.m.
    No other mode of application will be accepted.
  2. After online registration, the system will generate a unique User ID/User Name (Applicant ID) and
    Password. Candidate(s) must keep the unique User ID/User Name (Applicant ID) and Password for future
    reference.
  3. The applicants, who submit multiple online applications for a post, should note that only the online
    application with higher “Application ID Number” shall be entertained by OIL.
  4. Candidate(s) must upload relevant documents/certificates/testimonials along with his/her recent coloured
    photograph and signature as specified therein. Further, candidate(s) must pay the online application fee, if
    applicable. Candidate(s) must ensure that all the details provided by the candidates in the online application
    form tally with the respective documents/certificates/testimonials.
  5. Candidate(s) must keep the printout of the application which will be generated by the system after
    registration. No documents including copy of the application etc. are to be sent to OIL unless specifically
    advised.
  6. Eligibility of candidate(s) will be based on the details provided by the candidate in the online application
    form. Hence, it is necessary that candidate(s) should furnish only correct/accurate, complete and valid
    information in the online application form. Applications incomplete in any respect will be summarily
    rejected. Furnishing wrong/false/invalid information will lead to rejection of the candidature/application.
  7. Online Application Fee.
  8. All the details given in the online application form will be treated as final and no changes will be
    entertained.
