Selection Process
- Preliminary Examination
- Objective type general studies paper 150 marks.
- Negative marking: 1/3 deduction for incorrect answers.
- Qualifying exam to shortlist candidates for the mains exam.
2. Mains Examination
- Written Exam with multiple paper.
- Compulsory subjects: general Hindi, general studies paper (paper I & II) Essay.
- Optional subject: Candidate choose one from a list of disciplines.
- Minimum qualifying marks required to proceed to the next stage.
3. Interview (personality Test)
- Total marks: 120
- Candidate must appear for the interview to be considered for final selection.
4. Final Merit List
- The final selection is based on mains exam (900 marks) + Interview (120 marks) = 1020 marks.
