PSPCL ALM Recruitment 2026 Short Information

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has released notification for Assistant Lineman (ALM) Recruitment 2026.
A total of 3000 vacancies are available under Advt No. CRA 315/26. Interested candidates can apply online through official website.

Educational Qualification

  • Matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent
  • ITI in Electrician / Wireman Trade (NCVT/SCVT)
  • Punjabi subject pass at matric level

Salary Details

  • Basic Pay : ₹19,990/- per month
  • Salary as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix
  • Training period applicable

Selection Process (Full Details)

    • Stage 1 : Computer Based Test (CBT)
      Selection will be based on an online written exam conducted in two parts.
    • Part-I : Punjabi Language Test (Qualifying)
      – Total Questions : 50 MCQs
      – Minimum Qualifying Marks : 50% (25 Marks)
      – This section is compulsory and qualifying in nature
      – If failed, candidate will be disqualified
    • Part-II : Main Written Exam
      – Total Questions : 100 MCQs (100 Marks)
      – Technical (Electrician/Wireman) : 50 Questions
      – Punjabi Language : 20 Questions
      – General Knowledge : 10 Questions
      – Reasoning : 10 Questions
      – Arithmetic : 10 Questions
      – No Negative Marking
    • Minimum Qualifying Marks
      – General Category : 25%
      – Reserved Category : 20%
    • Merit List
      Final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Part-II only.
    • Stage 2 : Document Verification
      Candidates shortlisted from CBT will be called for document checking.
    • Stage 3 : Medical Examination
      Candidates must pass medical fitness test as per PSPCL rules.
  • Final Selection
    Final selection will be based on CBT performance + Document Verification + Medical Test.
